The story behind the sound
One voice.
Thousands of echoes.
It's not just about singing rock. It's about what happens when many voices come together on the same stage.
Sing and listen to rock like you've never done it before.
Rock n' Choirs is a network of choirs specialized in Rock music that was born in Barcelona in October 2018. Its proposal is simple: to bring Rock music, in all its variants, to the choral world.
The choirs share a repertoire of their own arrangements. Live, the power of many voices joins instrumentalists to create a show that is as much a rock concert as a collective gathering.
Each choir rehearses and performs independently. At least once a year, the network gathers to sing on the same stage.
How we got here
The first chords
An idea in Barcelona became a community that continues to add voices.
It all starts in Barcelona
Uri Mas founded the Barcelona Rock Choir with the idea of combining choral music and rock. At the first rehearsal there were already 50 singers.
The network takes shape
The Sant Cugat Rock Choir is born with Uri Mas. Rafa Lagunas takes over as director in January 2020.
Catalonia / Andalusia connection
Rock choirs are formed in Tarragona, under the direction of Uri Mas, and in Granada, directed by Teresa Martínez.
We continue to grow
Rafa Lagunas founds the Baix Llobregat choir and Teresa Martínez takes the project to Jaén.
On stage
From Chuck Berry to Metallica.
Their repertoire covers Queen, Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, Alanis Morissette, Deep Purple, Green Day and Pink Floyd, among others. In 2023 the network collaborated with Miguel Ríos during the 40th anniversary tour of Rock and Ríos.
