Tarragona
Rock Choir.

The Tarragona Rock Choir was founded in October 2022 by Uri Mas, who was already directing the Barcelona Rock Choir. The project soon attracted the attention of people in the city with several interviews, news items and features in the regional media, currently having more than fifty singers.

The choir has a collaboration agreement with the Tarragonian music school Estudi de Música, with whom they carry out various activities and auditions, as well as creating meeting spaces with the city, such as participatory choral actions or open rehearsals, and taking part in the city's choral life, such as in the first edition of the "Mosaic de Veus" cycle in 2026.

The choir's participation also stands out, together with the Rock n' Choirs network, in the collaborations with Miguel Ríos at the Palau Sant Jordi in October 2023, during the tour in which the Granada-born artist celebrated the 40th anniversary of the album Rock and Ríos, and with singer Ana Tena, accompanying her in her version of "Nithing else Matters" at the Teatre Auditori de Salou in September 2024.

The choir combines the shared repertoire with the choral network with arrangements of bands from the Tarragona area such as Els Pets and has just premiered a new show, "Rock&Dol", singing great rock anthems that address death from many points of view: from the sadness of farewell to the rage of a departure before its time, but also to the celebration of shared life and the joy for the time spent together with loved ones.
